Engineering systems and networks serve as a basis for infrastructure of any construction project, so their design is an extremely complex, critical, and time-consuming process. Errors made at this stage will cause serious problems in the functioning of construction projects (buildings and structures) or the entire system (external engineering systems). Design of external engineering systems is carried out after internal systems and closely connected to them. In this case, one should take into account soils characteristics, particular arrangement of buildings and structures, as well as existing communication networks.
